1⁄4cupgarlic powder
1⁄4cupwhite pepper
1⁄4cupdried rosemary
1⁄4cupfennel seeds
1⁄4cupanise seeds


Stir together all the ingredients in a bowl; or, if you prefer, grind together all the ingredients in a spice grinder. Transfer the rub to a lidded glass jar or jars. Store in a cool, dry, dark place, the rub will keep indefinitely, although the flavors will decline slowly over time.
