Bacon-and-Cheese Bread

1 1⁄2cupall-purpose flour
2teaspoonbaking powder
1⁄2teaspoonbaking soda
1cupsharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
3⁄4cupquick oats
6slicebacon (cooked and crumbled)
2 eggs (beaten)
1⁄4cupvegetable oil


Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside. Combine eggs, milk, and oil; add to oat mixture, stirring just enough to moisten dry ingredients.

Spoon batter into a greased and floured 8.5 x 4.5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan 10 minutes.
