Baked Cheese Pudding

Ingredients

1cupsoft breadcrumbs
1cuphalf-and-half
1⁄2teaspoonsalt
1⁄4teaspoonwhite pepper
1cupaged gouda cheese (shredded)
3 eggs (lightly beaten)
2tablespoonunsalted butter (melted)
  paprika

Instructions

Heat oven to 350°F.

Combine breadcrumbs, half-and-half, salt and pepper in medium-size bowl. Stir in cheese, eggs and the butter. Pour into buttered 1 quart glass baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake until knife inserted near center is withdrawn clean, about 30 to 35 minutes. Serve hot as side dish.

Notes

Regular Gouda cheese may be substituted, but the flavor will be more mild.
