Cajun BBQ Shrimp

1 1⁄2cupunsalted butter
6clovegarlic (minced)
1tablespoonfresh basil (chopped - or 1 tsp dried)
2teaspoonfresh rosemary (or 1/2 tsp dried)
1 1⁄2teaspoonfresh oregano (or 1/2 tsp dried)
4teaspoonlemon juice
1tablespoonworcestershire sauce
2teaspoondry mustard
1teaspoonred-pepper flakes
1 1⁄2poundmedium unshelled shrimp
1cupseafood stock


In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, swirling occasionally and taking care the butter does not brown. As soon as the butter starts to melt, add the garlic and herbs, and continue swirling until butter is completely melted.

Add the remaining ingredients, except the shrimp, and use a wire whisk to mix well. Simmer over low heat to allow flavors to blend, about 15 minutes. Add the shrimp and cook just until shrimp are opaque and curled, 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and pour carefully into a heat-proof serving dish.
