Crabhouse Tartar Sauce

1tablespoonshallot (minced)
1⁄4teaspoongarlic (minced)
1tablespooncelery (finely chopped)
1tablespooncornichons (finely chopped - i.e. sour french pickles)
1tablespoonparsley (minced)
1tablespoontarragon (minced)
1tablespoonold bay seasoning
  lemon juice (as needed)


Thoroughly mix all the ingredients (except the lemon juice) in a small bowl. Taste the mixture and blend in a little lemon juice if it seems a bit sweet (some brands of mayonnaise are sweeter or more tart than others). Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
