Italian Garlic Toast

1 italian bread loaf (about 15 inches long, cut crosswise into 1/2-inch slices)
6clovegarlic (cut crosswise in half)
  olive oil


Heat Broiler.

Arrange bread slices in single layer on baking sheet. Broil 5 inches from source of heat until very lightly browned, about 1 minute per side.

Rub hot toast lightly on one side with cut surface of garlic cloves. Brush lightly with olive oil. Broil until well browned, 1 to 2 minutes per side. Serve hot.
