Maple Baked Apples

2mediumcooking apples
2tablespoonpecans (chopped)
1⁄2teaspoonground cinnamon
1⁄2cupmaple syrup
2tablespoonbutter or margarine (divided)


Core apples; peel top third of each. Place apples in a shallow baking dish. Combine raisins, pecans, and cinnamon; fill cavities of apples with mixture. Pour maple syrup over apples; top each with 1 tablespoon butter. Pour water into bottom of dish. Cover and bake at 350F for 45 to 50 minutes.
