Ingredients

2 pears (cored and cut in half)
1tablespoonsugar
1teaspooncornstarch
1tablespooncurrant jelly
1tablespoongrenadine syrup
  whipped cream cheese
  lemon peel strips

Instructions

Arrange pears cut sides up and 9 inch glass pie plate; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on full power until crisp tender, 2 to 4 minutes.

Mix sugar and cornstarch; stir in jelly and syrup; pour repairs. Cover with waxed paper. Microwave on full power until sauce bubbles, 1-1/2 to 2 minutes.

Serve with a dollop of cream cheese; garnish with lemon peel.
