Tomato and Mozzarella Salad

2 fresh ripe tomatoes (cored and cut into 1/4-inch slices)
1⁄2cupfresh basil leaves (washed and drained)
2tablespoonolive oil
1teaspoonfresh lemon juice
1⁄2poundmozzarella (cut into 1/4-inch slices)


Arrange tomato slices in single layer on paper toweling; let drain 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, toss basil, oil, lemon juice and salt together in bowl; transfer to blender. Blend on low speed, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides of blender jar with rubber spatula, until basil is finely chopped and sauce is well combined.

Arrange tomato and mozzarella slices overlapping on large platter. Drizzle sauce over tomatoes. Allow to stand at room temperature, loosely covered, 30 minutes before serving.
