Country Pecan Muffins

1 1⁄3cupall-purpose flour
1cuppecans (chopped)
1⁄2cupbrown sugar (firmly packed)
2teaspoonbaking powder
1⁄4cupbutter or margarine (melted)
2 eggs (beaten)
1⁄2teaspoonvanilla extract


Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture. Set aside.

Combine milk, butter, eggs and vanilla; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.

Spoon the batter into greased and floured muffin pans, filling half full. Bake at 350F for 20 to 25 minutes.
