Tennessee Basting Sauce

Ingredients

3cupvinegar
1cupworcestershire sauce
1⁄4cupdry mustard
1⁄4cupketchup
1⁄4cupbutter or margarine
1mediumonion (quartered)
1 lemon (quartered)
16 cloves
10 bay leaves
5clovegarlic
1tablespoonsalt
1teaspoondried whole oregano
1teaspoondried whole rosemary
1⁄2teaspoonpepper
1⁄4teaspoonred pepper
1⁄4teaspoonhot sauce

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a small Dutch oven or saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer sauce, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain sauce, discarding onion, lemon, close, bay leaves, and garlic. Use the based work when grilling.
